Sending Harvest Blessings!

Hi, friends!
Gosh, it's been forever since I've had a chance to blog or get crafty!
We are a busy group, bustling from sun up to sun down ♥
Even now I'm scrambling to get my progressive
card done since it's the last day of the month ~
I've missed nearly all of October's crafting - eeeeek!
Now that's scary :)
This card is my entry into the FTHS using the progressive image.
There is a beautiful Thanksgiving sentiment that goes with it as well,
but I did not have time to do the inside of my card like I usually do *gasp!*
This gorgeous cornucopia image is a beautiful way to share a card with
just about anyone this upcoming Thanksgiving.

You can read all about FTHS and Faith's gorgeous digital images here
and I'll enter this into the challenge for the month of October :)
However, there is a card on my blog today for another progressive challenge
that trumps mine!
This scarecrow beauty is from Deedee's Digis, a lovely little company
that I was blessed to DT for a couple of years ago :)
But I didn't make this card - my son did!
From top to bottom, from ink to paper and glue and YES!
  Even that button!
(he is his mama's son, lol!)
I printed it out a couple of weeks ago and left it on my craft desk.
He walked in and in the midst of telling me the exciting topic of the moment,
he spied it and asked if he could color it :)
Absolutely!

See, art is not his thing - although he would occasionally hand me 3 buttons,
3 different card stocks, etc and challenge me to make a card with it :)
This time, he colored this card, picked out the paper, lined it up (the best he could, lol), added a strip of burlap, a little button
and even put in a handwritten sentiment,
decorating the INSIDE of his card, too!

I'm so proud of this little man :)
We'll enter this one into Deedee's Digis Progressive Challenge -

Before I go, I did want to announce the winner of my Blog Candy
Asian Girl coloring contest!
By an OVERWHELMING majority, blue and green won that challenge
and it made it so much easier to chose with help from friends!
With all the names from Instagram and here on my blog,
the winner chosen at Random is SHONA!
Please email me at Kelnkids@aol.com to I can get your prize package out to you!
Thank you to everyone who voted,  I wish I could have sent a prize to all :(

Wishing you a beautiful, safe Harvest and Halloween if you are going out tonight :)
Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!

Can I get your VOTE, please! :)

Hi friends!

Just stopping in with a quick colored image that I did late last night.
Excuse the bad coloring, this is just a sample :)
I am absolutely torn on which one to use.
Normally, I chose my image, pick paper to match,
then color the image to match the paper :)

Since I've been playing along in the Daily Marker Challenge,
I color up images daily, including this one -
without regard to card design, paper choice, etc!

So here I am,
and I need your help, please :)
I would LOVE for you to cast a vote in the comment section
telling me which one you like better or are drawn to ....
If you could either vote PINK or GREEN!

And to THANK YOU for your vote,
I'll print out the names of all that cast a vote here and Instagram,
and pick one winner from all the comments/votes using random.org
and send you a prize package!
[*It will be a surprise but including
stamps, papers, embellishments, etc!*]

Thank you so much for your vote!
Sometimes you just need an outside voice,
and this is one of those times! :)

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!

DDD - FALLing into new Friendships!

Hi friends!

It's time for another card duel with the Dueling Darlings!
Our lovely hostesses this month, Judy and Deb, came up with
one of the BEST themes - FALL into new friendships
Judy was our hostess and sent us the most
generously packed, Autumn gorgeousness kit ever!
You've heard the saying legs for days?
This was Fall card kit for days!

I do confess that time got the best of me
and I struggled a bit on how to put this all together.
I so wanted to use the small tree and leaves die cuts,
sequins and foil papers, too!
So, I spy future cards ... lots of 'em.
Thank you, Judy! ♥

Be sure to see what the rest of the Divas and Dazzlers
have made with their Fall themed card kits!
You won't be disappointed!
You can find them in my sidebar ♥

Thanks for stopping by :)
Big hugs, Bigger Blessings! ♥

Friend. Good. ~ Frankenstein

Morning!

One FUN thing that goes on during this time of year is ...
Halloween!
Only 17 more days!

Good thing Riley the Moose already has his costume! :)
The new Riley and Company DT Inspirations this week is "Fall" ..
and since I've made a slew of Halloween themed Riley cards recently,
I'll showcase a few of them in the next weeks ♥

While we are more into the softer side of Harvest,
the kids do dress up in sweet/cute costumes, visit the neighbors,
and pass out candy to the kids that come to our door.

Here's FrankenRiley!
*Boo!*

  Thanks for stopping by today!
Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!

I'll enter my card into:
Dreamvalley - Halloween :  Thank you for chosing my card as a Top 3 Winner!

Pumpkin Carving with the 3Ms!

Good Morning and TGIF!

What a week this has been - one for the record books, that's for sure!
I'm hoping after the Boy Scout jamboree this weekend,
we can head over to the nearby farm
and get in some Harvest photos and chose some pumpkins!
This year, all the holidays are sneaking up on me faster than I'm ready for!

It's the 9th of the month and that means the 3 Musketeers
post our cards with a chosen image ...
this month, the hostess was me!
Since October is here, I went with an adorable retro image
from Lil Inker Designs called Carving Pumpkins.

I've edited my card to make one that I really wanted to showcase -
my other card was driving me nuts :)
This one is a much better reflection of my crafting style ♥
Also!  Be sure to check out Barb's blog and Jeanette's blog
(the other 2/3rds of the 3 Musketeers!)

Aren't we cute!  LOL!! :)

I'll enter my card into:  Dragonfly Journeys Challenge - Great Pumpkin!

Thanks for stopping by today!
 Happy Harvest time!

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!

Let it Rain .... somewhere else! :(

Hee hee!

Hi everybody!

I was able to get a few cards in this weekend
and color up a TON of images, yet to be made into cards!
But it was productive, inky time and that's always fun!

Rain, alas, is not!
Now I do LOVE rainy days -  if I'm home!
or hiking through a trail with a light drizzle ♥
But since I spend my days on the road,
rain is a disaster here in South Florida and, quite frankly,
terrifies me to drive in!

As you probably know, Splitcoaststampers is having a HYCCT
(hope you can cling to) card drive for the month of October,
benefiting many organizations
and bringing awareness to needs of the community.
I've done 3/5 challenges thus far and this one was the first card.
The challenge is ......

So my challenge to you is to make a card representing your LEAST favorite weather condition.

Whether the weather be fine
Or whether the weather be not,
Whether the weather be cold
Or whether the weather be hot,
We'll weather the weather
Whatever the weather,
Whether we like it or not. ~Anonymous British poet

My card submission ~

Since I went with a Bugaboo digital stamp,
I went ahead and followed their sketch challenge for this week
and will enter this in their challenge.

I'll also enter this to:  Crafting from the Heart - AG
Fantastic Tuesday - 2 Patterned Papers
Path of Positivity - Resilient (trust God!)

Whatever you may be weathering, know that there are brighter days ahead.
And remember to
Trust God through the storms ♥

Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!

WCMD - The Hop to Stop Violence!

Hi friends ♥
Yes ~ today is World Card Making Day ~ 2015!
And I can't think of a better way to create
a card than one with a cause.

By an incredible coincidence, I clicked on a blog link the other day
that lead me to Becca's blog,
and quite frankly, stopped me in my tracks.

For 7 years, I was a mental health counselor.
There are things that you just can't imagine
happening to another human being.
And there are things that the human mind
just should not have to see.

If you are experiencing domestic violence, reach out for help!
Call the 24/7 confidential National Domestic Violence Helpline at 1-800-799-7233

And the inside of my card:

This month, thanks to Becca's wonderful blog hop,
there is a voice.
There is unity.
There is HOPE.

Becca's blog hop is to bring awareness to
  National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
There are many sites and links to visit for informative messages.

Awareness is key!
Your card - your blog - just might be the one that someone
will see that will make all the difference.
You can empower others through your voice, your message.
Let your purple flag fly ♥

Thanks for Becca's hard work, dedication and organization,
the hop has many wonderful sponsors!

For my card specifically, I used an Inspirations stamp from
Rich Razzleberry for the purple along w/ scraps of Basic Grey and SU!
dsp, and a scattering of plum/dark pink colored buttons,
burlap and twine.

Thanks so much for stopping by today
and I hope you're able to support this wonderful awareness cause, too!

Big Hugs, Bigger Blessings!
~Kelly

Hello, friend ...

Hi friends!
I hope it's a beautiful day wherever you are in the world ♥
One of the fondest memories I have of childhood
is receiving a card or letter ...  in the mail!
The snail mail, tiny piece of paper goodness in the mailbox
still brings me great joy to see a card arrive :)

Naturally, when I came across a card chain
challenge/exchange group, I joined right in.
The card group is hosted, Deborah, and
how it works: You take the name on the list above yours,
create/send a card using the given challenges
or you can just send one of your own design, it's up to you!
We post our cards when the month is up so the recipient
has the joy of surprise in the mailbox,
just like in the days before cellphones and laptops and ipads ♥
And did I mention there are over 30 different countries that
are represented in the card chain?!
Cards from all over - so unique and wonderful.

This month, there was also a few different challenges and I chose 2 of them:
the Color Challenge and the card layout.
This color combination is super scrumptious - cobalt, ivory and olive!

Soooo different for me!
Gone are the layers, buttons, 3d dimension!
My card stayed in the USA and traveled over to Taunya in Utah
and I needed it to be mostly flat for happy travels.

I went really old school with this one and inked up my old
CTMH stamp set, Friendship Flowers.

I'll enter this into CAS on Sunday - Polka Dots
Crafting with an Attitude - AG
Crafty Girls - AG
Crafting by Design - AG
Inspiration Destination - AG

Thanks for stopping by!
Big hugs, Bigger Blessings!
